The Fastest Yellow in South Dakota

It's at Minnesota Avenue and 10th Street in Sioux Falls, the fastest yellow light in South Dakota.  Yes, I was speeding, 33 in a 30.  But, I wasn't in a rush.  It's possible I didn't notice the first instant the light changed.

Then, I saw it.  Yellow.  Another second to think... (I was tired).  Now, two seconds to stop.  Nope, can't do it.

!FLASH!  That was the bright light that took my picture.  My front bumper was in the intersection, and I DID see the RED, high through the windshield.  Damn.

I was not in a hurry.  Not even a little.

I was unlucky enough to be at the exact wrong distance from the light when it changed.  If I was closer, I would have made it through.  If I was further away, I would have had an extra second to decide and stop.  Nope, this is the fastest (and richest) Yellow in South Dakota.  And, I wasn't sharp enough to beat it.

There's no escaping the red light camera...
...or its love letter.
